Lake fished: New London Reservoir                                        

Date fished: 08/18/01

Rate lake: Fair

Number caught: 6 Smallmouth & 2 Largemouth and 1 Walleye

Biggest: Nothing big, about 2 1/2 lbs.

Areas fished: various areas

Most effective crankbait: None

Most effective spinner: None

Best plastic fished: 3 1/2 " Pumpkinseed Tubes

Other tactics: Either casting or trolling slow. Also went up in shallow water, 4 feet and caught good sized blue gills on jig and white tail.

Goto lure: Red Shad 6" worms

Comments: Lake suppositly has Perch in it but have not found them, talked to other fishermen and they have not found them either. Would like to know how often this lake is stocked. There is also a campgrond there and a bathing beach, just a point of information. It will cost you a whole $2.00 to launch your boat there. Good luck.
